Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Sönke Albers awarded with the Practice Prize of the INFORMS Society for Marketing Science (27.01.10):
The 2009 INFORMS Society for Marketing Science Practice Prize was awarded to Marc Fischer, University of Passau, and Sönke Albers, Christian-Albrechts-University at Kiel, for their paper “Dynamic Marketing Budget Allocation across Countries, Products, and Marketing Activities.”

Sönke Albers appointed as European Marketing Academy fellow ( 8.12.09):
The European Marketing Academy (EMAC) appointed Sönke Albers as a fellow due to it´s outstanding contributions to both the EMAC community and the scholarship and practice of marketing by European academies. An article about the work and contribution of Sönke Albers can be found here. EMAC is a professional society for people involved or interested in marketing theory and research. Its aims are to serve as the core of a communication network for disseminating information and promoting international exchange in the field of marketing. The Academy edits the International Journal of Research in Marketing (IJRM).
